The project brief was to create a technical hairdressing academy which provided spaces for demonstrations, training courses, product testing, social activities and management for L’Oreal and its various brands. It was important to create an adaptable, blank canvas for the ever-changing promotional imagery for the various L’Oreal brands represented, whilst still embedding the iconic ‘L’Oreal’ identity into the foundations of the design.

Since opening in April 2013, the academy space has been used for flexible training and conferences and as a social space. The project was delivered on time and on budget, and has been identified by the client as the ‘the design template for all future Academies’.
